Philosophy: I have to come clean on this one... I didn't really have much of a philosophy when I made this. Erick Knepp left me without a boss for two days so I just went nuts on the only thing he told me to work on. Looking back, I can probably fake a philosophy, though...

Philosophy: Search results are soooo plain text!! When the opportunity arises to kick it up a notch, one probably should! Here's an example of me doing just that!

Using another "cheap" trick, I took a two-tone PSD file of our school's over-head map, cut out each building that had a lab in it, made a highlighted version, and then using negative margins I placed the highlighted cut-outs ontop of the blank two-tone map. If the search results included a building, I ran a script that showed all applicable buildings. Very easy concept - only took two 4hr shifts to execute, and the result is much fancier looking than a list of links. Click the image to see a real working version hosted at Susqu.edu! (I would syndicate it, but it uses a very fat access database (get out, a fat access database?!))
