AaronSmiley.com
The only project that has no end is the only project I drive the furthest. Born as a geocities
page about a trombonist, presently about a g33k, from a site of many secrets to a site of none,
my personal site has always been my
pacifier. Who knows, if I could twiddle my thumbs or afford cable this site may have
never grown out of its crib and into its berks.
GuiHost.net
The wonderful world of Linux has provided the world with an unopened door to prosperity. This is
my side-project that hopefully will pay the bills. All I need is my own dedicated server, and I'm there.
VNC, or Virtual something-or-other, Network Computing, I think, has taken the previously console only
world of SSH, or Secure something-or-other, and turned it into a graphical experience equal to or
greater than Microsoft's Remote Desktop system. GuiHost.net will provide customers with a gig or greater
disk space, and a graphical interface with their web server that will allow them to look, touch, and smell
their website, as well as give them the feeling of having their own pre-configured linux desktop to play with.
AaronSmiley.net
Totally different from AaronSmiley.com, I swear. This project is to create a base camp for all
of my side projects, drawing them all together, from my personal site to my hosting company to my ConFusion forum,
in the Aaron Smiley network. Hopefully once people hear about it I'll steal FOX's title as the
Fourth Network, or at least the fifth.
That would be cool.
Re-Learn German
I lost it!!! Man, when I went to Germany people were seriously leaning on me for translations. We watched
the Matrix in German, and I was translating the whole time to a couple of guys I was with (though I was cheating
on that one, having seen the movie a million times already). Now I can hardly talk about the time of day
or the weather. I can still ask for a beer, though. I got a free german-english translator for my PDA and
I've been teaching myself 5 words a day. Kennen Sie was Ich bedeute?

Pilot to Co No-Pilot...
A lot of work went into writing/co-writing a script for a pilot episode of a television series
that I was going to film with a couple of local buddies, but it seems to have tapered off into
a future plan. The script, at some level, is finished. A few of the members of the team weren't
totally pleased with it, and rather than revisit it I just derailed it. I'll pick it back up
someday when I can take criticism.
ConFusionMX.com
There are almost no decent ColdFusion Developer websites out there, and it was at one point a
goal of mine to develop the premiere ColdFusion exchange, but once again, another idea bumped this
one down the list. Plus, I really didn't feel like looking at ColdFusion when I came home from
coding in it all day. But hey, at least I have the name reserved.
AugustaWeekly.com
This is the first I've ever even mentioned this project to anyone. For a short while after
graduation I was a little too interested in being back in my home territory, so I bought
this domain with the hopes of making a more grown-up version of the RamsVeil, but in
the end I realized there was no underground pulse in Augusta. Certainly not enough
to fill up a website every week. The amount of work I saw this coming to was
unbearable to think of, also.
Maine Yankee
The novel that never was (so far). As of May 2005 I've been reworking the plot in my head over and over again.
The thing that keeps me from sitting down and mashing it out is that I already know the end, and it's difficult
to write an entire novel if you know the end the whole time. I'm also unable to think of another plot until
I have this one out of my head, and it just won't leave me alone. Once you have the characters in your head
you have to put them out there or they just live forever in your head. It could drive one crazy. Loco.
